This daridram is only in our Indians to rub too much salt into our kids. No American dad or mom does this too much. If their kids wants to relax in summer and enjoy parents say fine. But we indians settled here are always after money and dollars and push kids to do this do that and terrorize their summer with too many courses. Your earlier post was an indication of the Indian girl failed but the american go into Ivy League. Shame on us!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you did not understand my previous post. The girls (both) are highly "self-motivated" and the point I was trying to make in that post was to plan high school level subjects properly and not go crazy over AP subjects. Parents of the girl are totally innocent here. In fact to tell you the truth,they even discouraged her from studying so hard and advised to take it easy.Sometimes it is the school they are in and also the peer pressure too. So please do not jump into conclusions and state the girl as failure.In fact the girl (as I heard recently) is doing very well in her college.
DeleteYou call it "daridram" or whatever....I have seen lot of parents who are totally innocent about lot of resources available to enrich their kids. My intention is just to compile all the information at one place.Parents are best judges when it comes to their kids. They should assess them and find out if they are motivated or playful type. Based on that , parents should be matured enough to take right decisions.
Shame on "those" Indians or in fact "non-Indians" too-who push their kids against their interests just looking at others!
